Anjenarra Rahman-Huque has extensive experience within the commercial banking sector, having worked in senior operational and customer service management roles for over 12 years. Throughout her professional career, she has developed strong skills in leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, organisation, and team management.
Alongside her professional career, Anjenarra has been involved with Conservative Friends of Bangladesh (CFoB) for approximately 16 years and currently serves as Chair of the organisation. Over the years, her involvement has evolved towards community engagement, cultural outreach, organisational leadership, and supporting educational and awareness initiatives within the British Bangladeshi community.
As Chair, Anjenarra supports engagement and community activities across the United Kingdom, including cultural events, networking initiatives, Annual General Meetings (AGMs), seminars, receptions, and wider diaspora engagement activities. She has helped organise a range of community and cultural events that encourage participation, strengthen community relationships, and promote positive engagement between communities and institutions.
Anjenarra has also supported and co organised a number of community and social action initiatives relating to education, wellbeing, poverty reduction, and charitable support projects connected to Bangladesh and the British Bangladeshi community.
In addition to her community involvement, Anjenarra has previously supported local community engagement activities within Conservative associations over a number of years. However, her current focus is primarily centred around community, cultural, organisational, and educational activities.
She has also helped organise parliamentary engagement visits, educational seminars, and networking opportunities aimed at encouraging greater civic awareness, participation, and leadership within under represented communities.
Anjenarra is passionate about supporting stronger community engagement, encouraging participation, and helping create opportunities for communities across the United Kingdom. Her experience across both the commercial and voluntary sectors has helped her develop strong interpersonal, organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
She has also been actively involved in supporting community projects, cultural initiatives, fundraising activities, and engagement programmes aimed at promoting inclusion, participation, and community cohesion.
Her contribution to community engagement and voluntary service has also been recognised through a Mayoral Commendation in recognition of her service to the community.
