Vision
The vision of the Conservative Friends of Bangladesh (CFoB) is to serve as a trusted platform that highlights the potential of Bangladesh, celebrates the contributions of the British Bangladeshi community, and fosters meaningful engagement between policymakers, community leaders, and institutions in the United Kingdom and Bangladesh.
CFoB seeks to promote dialogue, understanding, and collaboration that strengthens democratic values, economic opportunity, and cultural exchange between the two nations.
Mission
The Conservative Friends of Bangladesh (CFoB) is committed to strengthening engagement between the Conservative Party and the British Bangladeshi community while celebrating the rich heritage, achievements, and values of British Bangladeshis across the United Kingdom.
Established in 2006 with a small founding group, CFoB has grown into a national network with over 400 members and supporters and more than 30 regional branches across the country. Through this growth, the organisation continues to serve as a bridge between communities, policymakers, and institutions.
CFoB works closely with Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ), supporting campaigns, engaging with members, and contributing to wider political participation within the Party. Since its establishment, the organisation has played an active role during multiple election cycles by supporting Members of Parliament, parliamentary candidates, and local Conservative Associations.
The British Bangladeshi community makes significant contributions to British society, culture, and the economy. CFoB seeks to highlight and amplify these contributions through events, policy discussions, and networking platforms that encourage greater civic engagement and leadership.
At the same time, CFoB promotes stronger relationships between the United Kingdom and Bangladesh, encouraging dialogue on areas of shared interest including trade, development, democracy, and cultural cooperation.
Through these efforts, CFoB aims to create opportunities for collaboration, participation, and leadership within the British Bangladeshi community while supporting stronger connections between our two nations.
